Hard Rock Cafe Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

TRUE! VERY TRUE!!!!

They are opening a Hard Rock Cafe ( #HRC ) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The third outlet in Malaysia, and the first one in East Malaysia and Borneo!!! As an avid HRC t-shirt collector, I am thrilled to be able to purchased a few for my friends and I, thanks to #Malindo Air and Sabah Tourism.

The cafe itself is scheduled to open in late 2013 however the Rock Shop (merchandise shop) is already up and running and you can get the latest #HRC #KK merchandise here. I have to say, the latest design is really really cool, check-it out...

I've included address and map at the bottom of this entry.

Bought 2 of the blue ones for birthday folk. Hope they like it.

Orange for moi!

Got the blue one for another birthday baby, like this one; very man!

I'll get the grey design on the next #HRC I visit. Very girl....

And this..... for Andrea.

Don't ask my wallet damage.

#Malindo Air - Not Just Low Cost | Inaugural Flight

No, this is not me. I do wish though.

I was invited to be part of #Malindo Air inaugural flight to Kota Kinabalu last week where Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri officially launched the new hybrid carrier, promising us travelers not just a low cost carrier but superior in products and services.

Malindo Air flying high.

#MalindoAir Boeing 737-900ER flight to Sabah is said to help improve connectivity and help boost Sabah tourism thus opening up job opportunities, this will be achieved by converting Kota Kinabalu to be the second hub for travelers flying in from Indonesia, Korea, Japan and China.

Waiting for check-in.

Among those invited to experience #Malindo Air inaugural flight were fellow medias, bloggers and travel agents to witness its first scheduled flight to East Malaysia after months of suspense.

Malindo Air inaugural flight launch.

#Malindo Air CEO, Mr Chandran Rama Muthy said that this is the first hybrid carrier in Malaysia offering both Business and Economy Classes to it's customers, with Business Class travelers benefitting baggage allowances of 30kg and 15kg for Economy Class. Not to mention other advantages traveller will be enjoying such as leg room, In-Flight Entertainment (IFE), WiFi and others.

Passengers were colourfully welcomed to board the first flight, each one was given a small token of appreciation from the organizer.

This is a 180 seater Boeing, holding 12 seater for business class and 168 for economy class.

In-Flight Entertainment for everyone, something for travelers to look forward to.

There is NO HOT seats in #Malindo Air, ALL seats are HOT.

No more worries for tall travelers, sufficient leg room with seat pitch of 45 inches for Business Class and 32 inches seat pitch for Economy Class.

Personal In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) with movie-on-demand readily available, it also comes with USB hub (where one can simply charge their mobile devices) and a standard single point earphone/headphone jack. Travelers can either use own earphone/headphone or purchase one on-board at RM5.00.

To top it all, the flight comes with light refreshment.

Sandwich set and bottled water served during our flight to Kota Kinabalu.

We were welcomed with water-canon as our flight approaches the gate.

We were given a vinusak and greeted by beautiful Sumazau dance.

Sabah hospitality at best.

Heading for the press-conference.

Day 2 | Majestic #Bagan At Sunset - #Myanmar (Part 3)

Sigh.... Bad news. I accidentally deleted my Bagan pics on my iPad Mini where I store most of my Bagan and Chasing Monk photos. I was on a massive depress mode last week (which resulted to me not blogging for whole week).

Thus, you will see pictures of different colours/mode/mood as I extract it from few devices.

Anyway, here are some of the pictures I managed to capture, not that great unfortunately. Double 'sigh....'. Well, let's look at the glass half full shall we... This probably mean I just have to REVISIT Myanmar!!! Muahhahahah..... (Any excuse to travel *wink*). And my NEXT visit will conver the 7 items which I fail to execute and materialise in this trip. It'll be EPIC TRIP, any takers???
It's crucial that you know, I am terrified of height, like really.... REALLY!

This VERTIGO (or is it acrophobia) thingy doesn't help. NOOOOOO!!!!

BUT..... Once you up there (even not the highest point), it is superbly breathtaking! ......... (speechless).

Just sitting down, absorbing good's greatest gift....

SUNSET!!!

Apparently sunrise is even better. We shall see... (next trip *wink*)

The view from the otherside.

A definite repeat, and next time will be at sunrise.
Steep??? Yup! Still confuse over this VERTIGO / acrophobia thing.

#TravelTips :
1. Bring tripod for best photos
2. Carrying tripod up the steep staircase can be a challenge
3. Coming down with the tripod is even worst
4. STEEP. VIRTIGO. ACROPHOBIA.
5. Sunrise comes with awesome hot air balloon scenery against the angelic temple
6. PEOPLE. PEOPLE. PEOPLE.... Yup! That many!
7. Company helps, else it can be a bit of a bore waiting for the sun to rise/set

Sila merangkak turun yea.

View from 4th / 5th floor looking up.

Bagan (Formerly Pagan) is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Burma (Myanmar). From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. During the kingdom's height between the 11th and 13th centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day.

NEW Burger In Town! #VOLKSBURGER

Dirty car! DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY CAR!

What does it have to do with burger right?

Well... if my car was clean, I would have not wash it thus not bump into #VolksBurger located at the gate of my carwash. See.... sometimes it IS good to have dirty car, you will never know what you can bump into. Hahahhahaha..... (lame excuse!).

Anyways, I saw this cute Volks van as I was turning into the carwash... apa lagi, park my car, left the key and walk over to #VolksBurger.

Despite that I am no foodie, I am still a blogger right....? So, snap a couple of pictures lor. After all the snapping, I am still unable to decide whether should I give it a try, but one thing was sure; I am soooooooo gonna blog about this. (I was kinda impress with myself as I have been busy this past few weeks [hence slowed down on blogging], but because of THIS... I was inspired to blog an entry).

Didn't realise he was posing till I downloaded it to my notebook. Hahahaa...

FINALLY.... I decided to place an order of coz. But, which burger to eat? Hem....

Uncreative me decided on normal al-cheapo chicken burger..... soooo tak the glamour.

This is how it looks like inside....
Chup! The van can be driven... hahahhah... That was my first thought and question to him.

See..... can drive kan.

Plain simple burger. Sigh... Lily, Lily..... creative lah sikit

Verdict? I think I should try the changgih-er #VolksBurger before I judge further.
