A 2009 Trip.... I know! I have problem updating my entry on the same year I travel. Haahahahha....
Anyway, guess what field is this?
GUESS!!!
COME ON!!!
Paddy field?
Nope!
Want me to tell you......?
It's......... Onion field/plantation.
Yeah! Serious!
Kid you not..... Haahahahhah....
Shocked? Me too, really...
The onion field was what we passed by on the way to the mountain. Which mountain ask you? Goodness knows where, all I know was that I was still in Chiang Mai and that's all that matters. Hhahahah.....
The plan was that we have this little picnic by the waterfall, do skinny dip (No!) etc. I know... very the DRAMA. But the thing is, we couldn't locate the waterfall. We drove and drove and drove, we saw the signage, parked the jeep and start to walk, but the path downwards was like steep and kilometersssss far. Half way down, we gave up. Lucky me! Or was it because God heard my prayers??! Hemm....
What is the next best thing to do?????
Detour and take an elephant ride!
Honestly speaking, I wasn't thrill, WASN'T THRILL AT ALL! It was just an elephant ride (despite that I like animalssss) but the thing is that I have rode on an elephant before. Big deal meh! Elephant only maahhh... But since Kak LV was such a nice host, I agreed and boy! I swear I would not doubt her ever again after this when it comes to Chiang Mai activities.
It cost us Baht100 (yeah, like RM10 only [USD3.4] basically) for an hour ride or so. But this wasn't the part that I was impressed. Then, what does right....?
The ride itself....
I rode an elephant in Malaysia zoo as well as once in Phuket, what normally happens is that the guide will take the elephant for walk on FLAT land around the compound, but this one..... sigh. Just take a look at the above pic, THE SLOP... THE STEEP SLOP, adventurous huh!
I have to take me own pics, Andrea and myself shouldn't be on the same elephant. Doink!
YES! Told you right.... we took the ride up up up in the mountainssssss.....
This part was kinda scary as I was the lead of this pack. Check out the gap and height between one and another. Steep neeh....
Oh yah! Since this is not a "show" elephant, so; at their own convenient, this cute jumbo will just stop and eat the branches, leaves, enjoy the view and pooh pooh. YUP! You read it alright, POOH POOH!
Very very very very... SMELLY POOH POOH! CIS!!!
This were the path ahead of us... fun right, not like those boring zoo thingy.
Bila pulak diarang overtake nih!
Not only that, the ride will take us across the river where we can see tourist and local on bamboo raft. Remember, Baht100!!! Worthwhile right!?!??!?!
We ended our journey and were asked to wait in this cute hut.
But busybody me decide to take a walk and check out on Kak LV, how far were they. Above pic are their sanctuary... By "their" I mean elephant, not Kak LV. Heeehehehhee....
Kinda serene I felt.
They were very far back, so.... I walked to the street pulak. But it was boring, NO CAR at all, I can't blame them, after all; we are in the jungle/mountain mahh.
Just when I thought life was boring flat, I heard Kak LV elephant trumpeted. I ran to the hanging bridge, and there I saw the Kak LV - our last group.
The sanctuary was on the other side of the river.
We gathered and took a pic, I was surprise that this particular elephant is one jolly baby jumbo (mouthfull).
Say CHEESE!!!!
elephant last tuh cute giler !
