Few weeks back during the school holidays, I babysat both my nieces Maira & Misha for a day. And I was wondering hard what activities to do with them that they haven't done with their friends or mummy during the hols.
Then I came up with this great idea (or so I think, as usual), I took my 2 cameras and went to fetch them. Upon them sitting in the back seat, I told them that I am doing a photo competition for both of them, they were excited of cause.
The rules were, the pics taken must consist of (1) building (2) animal (3) scenery (4) human and (5) water. For an 8 & 10 years old kid, they did pretty well I must say. So well that I'm not sure which one to pick... Can you help?

ReplyDeleteI think you might want to declare a tie -- both are very good. But if I must choose, I would say Misha. I really like the expression she captured of the two boys looking at the bird.

ReplyDeleteLily, I think the children's parents should come up with a prize to give to you for such a fantastic idea.
ReplyDeleteThis competition has shown that there is talent here at such a young age and it seems too close to call a winner. Misha's composition and colour of the Parrot is bold and striking that demands attention and the look on the boys faces is really good too. Maira's face is different, very good, although the overall photo is not as coherent as the two boys. The Peacock is well composed and is a tie with the Parrot. Maira's water drops are better but there is a bit more talent and future potential with Misha's other two pictures.
I was going to say Maira but after much thought and examination, if I can't do for a tie, I'm going to say Misha. Lastly I am hoping that Maira gets a few more votes so that Lily has the casting vote !!!
