Day 9 & 10 | McArthur Glen Designer Outlet

Day 9

We got an early flight out of Bucharest, I buffered this incase of any flight delay; and that we will still be able to catch it home (which is the next day dawn). PLUS to give Zali 1 day to cover Acropolis as he didn't manage to (being 3 days lesser then us girls). Everything went well, on time and no hiccup NOR strike. AMIN...

To avoid of being summon again, we decided to book the hostel taxi (splitting cost by 4pax kinda untung) to the airport. Why didn't we think of this earlier, bengap betui!

Our plan was that Zali will catch the Acropolis and us girls will be jalan-ing at Plaka, we will then meet up at Syntagma Square to catch the shuttle to McArther Glen Designer Outlet... tuk shopping sket sket. So, while Zali was discovering Greek early civilization, we decided to check-out the Acropolis Museum at the foot of Acropolis. Guess what? That day was FREE (AGAIN!!! cam na ler negara nih nak kaya, preee memanjang!)!

Few things I observed, the security "forces" (note I did not use the word GUARD) was all in black coat & tie, some with sunglasses,  and of cause a walkie. Serious look like CIA or something.

We felt that, if anyone were to knock down ANYTHING, they will rescue the artifacts before us. HAHHAHAHHA.....

The above 2 was how it suppose to look like then and now. They have a step by step on stages of Acropolis construction.

This is the cool part, one section of the museum is glassed so that one can view the archeology digging that is still going on. In fact, come to think of it, the whole museum MIGHT have built on an archeology ground. Cam na ler depa bina tuh agaknye.

Once we were done, we took the train to Syntagma Square to meet up Zali.

The shuttle came on time and took us here, rasa cam padang jarak padang terkukur looking at the scenery to the venue... wondering whether is it worth it ke dak masa tuh... hemm....

The selection was decent, what we wanted was there and murah, just don't compare to US FOS ler, but still murah banyak. The choice not as much though, but then again, if banyak pun; bukan ada duit nak nyopping.

Wonder whether the Johor Premium Outlook looks like this dak?

I thought think brand was worth it, curi curi took some pics so that you guys can gauge.

Apparently, shirts like these; if it's new arrival, the cost will reach between RM500-800. Murah kan... I think this is 1-2 season backwards, but OK ler, cam ada orang nak perasan.

 I bought this for work.

Nasib masa ni tak da BF, else sure dah beli dah nih, murah tuh.

Tak beli ler kan hak ni, was waiting for Zali and Wahidah to finish their shopping. The bench was in front of this shop, snap pics je ler. As you know, am a travelholic not a shopaholic, sooo.... leh bosan gak masa ni. I shop ala-kadar jek. Some might beg to differ sure nye.

Once we completed or should I say broke, we took the shuttle back to our hotel. We pecah pukal berbagai kat bilik and start packing as we have a super early flight the next day. Where to?

Balik Malaysia ler....!!!! (This is the Day 10 lerrr)

Day 1 | KL > Doha > Athens (Woo hooo!!!)

First leg of the journey.... jeng jeng jeng.... this has always been the MOST exciting part of all trips, it's like - all your planning is becoming a reality.... dup dup dup (heart beating).

It was a 4-4.30 hours journey if I can remember correctly. All I can rknow is that I kept looking at the map and counting down... to a point I didn't watch ANY of the inflight movie. BADOH!

The face before all KONG-ED out... hehehhe... I thought I have better take a pic first before I lose my sanity to the excitement. Tangkap masa rasa MASIH glam.... (amboi Cik Kiah!).

Don't ask me to translate ok, everytime it reaches this screen I'll be cursing.... ENGLISH PLEASE!!!! ARGHHH...... Are they playing me out... Isk Isk Isk!

You SEE that! Did you SEE THAT! You saw RIIIIGHT!!!
YES! YES! YES!!! Athens, Santorini & Mykonos.... hemm.... it's kinda far huh! But it's worth it!
YEAY!!!! After 4 years of hoping & dreaming.... am reachiiiiiiiiiiiing...... Hi guys!

I can't believe this, I am IN GREECE!!!

Take NOTE! Look at their letters..... now I can OFFICIALLY say the ever so famous phrase :- "this is soooo GREEK to me!" Hahhahahha.....

That was our joke the whole trip. At the third last day there, I learnt the word "Thank You" - FINALLY. It's EFCHARISTO! Seksa nye nak sebut, why can't it be as simple as Xie Xie, or Merci, or Gracie. Sighh..... apa apa larr...

Am in the city... *yes!*, NOW it felt even more REAL! Like really REAL REAL, you know what I mean right? RIIIIIIIGHT?!??! (just say yes, it'll make me feel better, muhahahah.... seeking attention AND agreement). So next thing I need to do... during the night is.... :

1. Make sure handphone is fully charged
2. Canon S95 is FULLY FULLY charged
3. SPARE camera battery is FULLY charged AS WELL (kiasu nih)
4. Prepare my attire for tomorrow, base on place to visit (after all, I need to make sure that my clothes doesn't clash with the environment.... and I look fantabulous mar! Hehehhe VAIN-GLORIOUS GURLLLL!)

It's fast coming to dust and am so excited... even though the room was so-so only. After all, not that I have the money to pay at The Four Season Hotel right (they don't have one here anyway, ehhehehe.....). I figure, since I will be spending most of the day light outside, it's pointless to spend so much dollars on fancy hotel, to me; as long as it is clean and decent AND ofcos near central area where it's minimal cost to travel, am sooooooo FINE! Simple girl I am - I have to say that (PERASAN to the max nih!). Agree hor?

Let's go to sleep first, I have a BIG FAT GREEK DAY ahead tomorrow!

6 days weekend

It was Zali’s “bird day” and the joke was on dear Bahija. Hehhehee…. I still burst out laughing by just thinking about it.

Nothing unusual, we had Zali’s bird day lunch just before Chinese New Year holiday, we figure it’s a good time to catch up and listen to Bahija’s juicy story from Isketambola (Istanbul).

Our lunch was at Bubba Gump The Curve. I arrived first as Andrea have to fetch Zali from his office (Yeah! Lucky Andrea get to work from home, all to our envy lar ofcoz!). Bahija reached much later as she can only leave office at 1pm. Everything works out fine since we can spare more time (longer lunch hour) as most people are on holiday mood (thus hardly working in the office).

We ordered our lunch, Zali ordered some fancy lunch which looked like “masak pindang” (Andrea have another name for this, just can't seem to remember) and I personally thought it tasted so-so… Oh well! At least we tried (and won’t order the same dish again). My lunch was “Trash” from the sea and Andrea called for something safer - salad & calamari (you can never go wrong with these!). By the way, there’s a Lingam chilli source in Bubba Gump, whatever happen to Heinz ketchup…. But it was funny as I kept saying “Where’s my keropok lekor!”, HAHHAHHAHA….

OK! Enough with the crap. Everything went ok till Bahija arrives. We were “interrogating” her on her jet-setting “ability”, I mean… she was travel ie holidaying almost every month… WOW! That’s like… ok! Am basically speechless here....

We start with her Isketambola holiday, she said it was fantastic, she bought a carpet which is “cheap” to her (apa nak kata, she’s rich lar kan! Hehhehee...). We then found it weird, where did she gets ALLLLLLLLL her leaves (AL). She said she took 4 days leaves, but the other 6 days was on weekend.

Hemmm….. My understanding is that :

1. Every weekend consist of Saturday & Sunday ie 2 days (right!?!? I know my math might not be the best but I am sure I can count up to 2 lar)
2. Meaning she either starts on Tuesday or ends on Thursday
3. Which means…. She only work 1 day in a week.

THAT’S IT! ALL of us wanted to know which company she is working for? How to apply? And anymore vacancies?

Can you believe some people’s luck!
