Visit Malaysia Year campaign started in 1990 and since then 2 other campaigns followed suit - in 1994 and 2007. This year marks the 4th Visit Malaysia Year campaign and best of all, not only I am witnessing the grand launch but I will be participating in few of #VMY2014 media activities aside from initiating a few Cuti-Cuti Malaysia trips of my own. (Care to join?)
There would be more than 200 exciting events and festival happening this entire year, and foreseeing 36 million tourist arrival.
The highlight for this event to me was the Digital Mapping on Sultan Abdul Samad Building which left us "aaahhh...and ooohhh..." coupled with fantastic fireworks display, marrying dance performance with vocal powerhouse to rock the stage such as Dato' Siti Nurhaliza, Datuk Jamal Abdillah, Amy Search, Azlan & The Typewriter and Awie among others, I have to say Tourism Malaysia did a great job. Dataran Merdeka was the perfect place to launch Visit Malaysia Year 2014.
We all are ambassador of Malaysia, let's extend our famous Malaysia hospitality and raise Malaysia as top tourist destination in the world!

I took a stroll in this quaint town after being enlighten by Gopeng Heritage House and Gopeng Museum and to my surprise, murals!?! And not just one, 5 of them! I asked the volunteer at Gopeng Heritage House and was told that come March 2014, this little town will be painted in red (#eh) by murals.
So, apa lagi…. JOM to Gopeng this March!!! *wink*
