Nipah Guesthouse Pangkor.
Home Away From Home
I was given the opportunity to recce Nipah Guesthouse in
Telok Nipah, Pulau Pangkor and my only regret was not staying there. I have
nothing to say but praises and admiration to Encik Anuar Razak, the owner of
Nipah Guesthouse Pangkor. When asked what made and inspired him to quit his job
at the age of 40+ and settled down in Pulau Pangkor, he look at me and answered
with a smile “I love what I’m doing”. I frozed, then it hit me; love what you
do and you don’t need to work a single day in your life and Encik Anuar truly
believe in this. When you put your heart and passion into something that you
love most, the result is pure beauty coupled with honesty, and us travelers see
and appreciate it. I am in love with this place.
Believing that a good holiday is where you can relax and let
your kids run around without worrying, feeling confined yet at an affordable
price led Encik Anuar to design this beautiful home away from home. He even
introduces a DIY breakfast whereby guest are required to cook, clean-up and wash
own dishes. The guesthouse provides nasi lemak bungkus, cereal, fruits, egg,
bread and sausages and of course coffee and tea, it is up to the guest to cook
anyhow they like *smile*.

Guesthouse 2 is able to fit in 6pax.
A-frame cottage.
You will be surprise that there is no registration counter
as he is all for personalized service, instead he or his wife will personally
greet the guest; briefing them about the guesthouse layout/facilities, what to
do in Pulau Pangkor or any tips benefitting the guest. Would you believe that
he even build the pool himself, yes, he is that dedicated. He have my utmost
respect.
Nipah Guesthouse is able to fit 25 pax at one time, room
starts from RM120 on weekdays, RM150 on weekends and RM180 on public holidays.
So, book quickly if you are heading to Pulau Pangkor!
(and say hi to Encik Anuar on my behalf *smile*).
