Ski Experience

Arrived during minor blizzard at the Alps Resort.


The tour guide said that the bus can't drive us up, soooo..... we need to DRAG our HEAVY luggage up the slope to our room. The distance? 100 mtr or so, with SNOW brushing our face and WIND CHILL kissing our cheeks. NOT a fun experience but woe betide.... Alps Ski Resort CAN be fun! Read on...

We we re pretty excited with our ski experience (my 2nd actually, the 1st one was in Switzerland).

I have a SILLY story to tell. I mean; we are Malaysian in Malaysia, there's no SNOW here okay! It's summer ALL YEAR round. Only 2 season in Malaysia - RAIN and SHINE. That's it! Seeing sooooo much snow excites the hell out of us! With all our rented ski gears, went out to the BUNNY slope;, with full of SPORTMANSHIP SPIRIT, we "marched" up the bunny slope (like 5-10 degree in slant). It took us 20mins to climb, once we reach 100mtr distance, we SKIIIIIIIII down the slope. Guess how long it took us? 15 SECOND! WHAT!!! With all the sweat??? 15 SECONDS enjoyment? DANG!!!! I did another round and call it quit! Hahhahah....

Oh! I missed out one most important detail, I was at my CHUBBIEST most, I think I was sick or something, hormon imbalance... consiquences, I look FAAAAT!!!!! Not that am any thinner now. Hahhaha.....

I must tell this ANOTHER embarrassing story, been telling to almost all my friends, now am making it PUBLIC! As you can see, my friends are all skinny people (Yeay! Don't you just HATE them? ehhehe....), sooooo during the ski shoe rental time; the worker OBVIOUSLY have to give me the largest size they have (REMEMBER! Korea girls are petite in size, annoying right!?). Guess what? It doesn't fit, well... not the feet, its the calf part. You see, I use to play squash actively, but bad practice and sudden stop resulted in this ugly thingy (Anyone who know s how to make my calf smaller PLEASE comment! MUAKS!).

Anyway, that's not the funny part, what happened was, the worker (Male-mind you!) was SHOCKED, and start talking in Korean disbelievingly what he is seeing (Hello...!). He quickly call his friend from the back, and them both peeped to look at my "sexy" calf.... they where like... "Wooo yoooo!!!!" (GUYS!!! Come on!!). Well, they directed me to MALE shoe area and I have to use "MALE" ski stuff instead. ARGH!!!!!

But the way they talked rapidly talked and peeped at my legs was kinda farnie though... I actually, seriously BURST out laughing. This can only happen to me! Sigh....

We always saw how in the movie bestie buried themselves in snow, we decided, why not? Hahhahah... no wonder they did it, its FUN and FREEZING. Those that never done it before, do try. Next time, I want to try the Snow Angel style pulak... and I must wear white for that.
