My 2015 Travel Plan!

Happy New Year!

I have been blessed this year with wonderful family and great friends. As I mentioned in my FB, I love my work and my passion and everything that comes with it.

Thank you 2014 for the opportunities and love shared and spread.

Family and friends who know me well knows that I don't plan my trips, don't have a fix plan nor an itinerary and that I go with the flow. Whatever I said, whenever or wherever I mentioned I want to go to... usually only materializes few years down the road as it will always be hijacked by another trip, another friend, another excuses to travel. Ahaks. Am I a okay liddat!

So, again. My travel plan for 2015 is NOT TO HAVE ANY PLAN.

Hahhahahhahahaaa.....

Happy Feet after Balkan Trip - A #MyVelvetSmooth experience

An avid traveler like me have one problem, our feet tend to get hard and rough from all the walking and hiking, upon getting hold of my own #SchollMY Velvet Smooth Express Pedi, I know this is the answer to every travelers prayer. 'Beautiful feet start at home in one switch' tagline fits the bill as home can be anywhere for us when we are on the move and staying clean and beautiful is key, after all, we do want our photos at Mt. Stong’s waterfall, the beach in Bali or Surfers Paradise to look picture perfect right (from head to toe) *wink*. Now we can freely and happily take #FromWhereIStand (or “feetfie”) photos without worrying. Yeay.

Being small and handy aside from easy to use makes it convenient for travelers to bring during our trips, it is like having a salon at home and for my case; having a salon at the Riad of Morocco, at the Santorini caldera, or even at the Japan onsen. My personal spa – anytime, anywhere.

Wonder how easy this can be? Watch this video.

I tried using it and the result is amazing. The specially designed Micralumina roller heads with long lasting micro-abrasive particle for continuous filing results makes it easy to exfoliating hard and dead skin. Refill rollers pack are available separately.

Before using #SchollMY Velvet Smooth Express Pedi.

Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Stadium (Impressive!)

I saw BellaEnveeus posted on her Facebook asking who else would want to join her to catch Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, after viewing the video HERE, I immediately said 'ME! ME! ME!', I mean... wouldn't you?

Suddenly visiting Qatar doesn't sound so bad after all. Check-out the video and pictures. Gempak ok!

Travel Fashion | Travel In Style - Colorblock

Girls will be girls. Agree?

I know... I know... some are saying us girls travel heavy as we carry too many clothes etc. TET! Wrong! We do and can travel light yet travel in style (this is the part where you girls say "yah!!!!" loudly with a touch of snobbishness [and flip that hair too, gurl!]) and we have a secret for that (plus it's the latest trend in town... still). It is call...... colorblock!

* Note : Pictures : Credit to Style Corner, Pinterest and Google.

For those wearing headscarf, you can use the above as a guideline and improvise along the way. Long pants/skirts instead of short ones, layer it with cardigan, wear a floral/colorful headscraft etc.

I did 2 other entries on fashion previously.
Travel Tips/Fashion | 1 Shirt, 8 Ways (#Travellight)
Travel Fashion | 12 Ways To Tie A Scarf

Why am I so particular on style/fashion when I travel? Simple...
- Why should I look ugly when traveling? Like seriously...
- As I can't frequent the same country, thus I have that one shot to make sure the trip and pictures turn out super perfect. Yah... Call me kiasu. Hehehhehee...
- Every country I visit is special therefore should be given the utmost respect (ayat poyo)
- If you dress well, you'll get better treatment (try it!)
- World Peace #Eh (Hahhahahha.....)

Try it!

My Small Contribution As A Traveler ( #CSR )

I had a chat with Fariz of Out of the box, up and about (seriously, I can't remember whether it's via tweeter, blog, Facebook or face-to-face) and he was telling this great idea that inspired me hence I'm adopting. Boleh kan? Hehehehhee....

He wanted to donate/leave a Malaysia travel book (on any book on Malaysia) at guesthouses/hostels where he stayed during his trips. He said it was his little way of promoting Malaysia, encourage reading and perhaps recycling *smile*, his own version of  "Fariz Give Back" (ceh wahh..... *wink*). I thought it was a great idea that travelers can adopt. We really should guys!

When I heard of the Big Bad Wolf Aftermath Sale, I said to myself - PERFECT!

I rushed back on Sunday from my company kick-off trip to shop at BBW (drove like a speed demon; me). Jard said she would like to go too, I wanted to ask Adam to join but he is in Kelantan pulak, so it was Jard and I and book hunting time.

Got myself 10 books on Malaysia (old print/edition with basic info, it'll do) and 15 books on Sarawak. Very satisfied and happy of myself, ahhhh...... a feel good moment.

I did get a few scrap books for fun!

I received this book from a friend and I think I should get a few more to give-away.

Let's read!

World AIDS Day 2012 / #WAD2012 - Malaysia

What do you/we understand about AIDS?

Well, mine was pretty lame, just like how we saw in our local TV. Basically, the doctor will tell you that you have AIDS and you immediately fall sick and die in 3 months time. Little that I know this is NOT the case.

The actual fact is that AIDS :
• Applies to the most advance HIV stage
• May occur 10 – 15 (maybe more) years after HIV infection
• Occurrence of any of more than 20 Opportunistic Infection (TB, Candidiasis, Pneumonia, Kaposi’s Sarcoma, Hepatitis)

This shows how little I/we know and how ignorant we are. Education on HIV, People Living With HIV and AIDS is very crucial. Remember guys, KNOWLEDGE is POWER.

Why the sudden on AIDS and HIV stuff on my blog you may ask. Well, I have been blessed to participate in this great event, World AIDS Day 2012 or #WAD2012 as on twitter. And I can’t brag enough.

The event set-up before the VIPs & celebrities arrive.

World AIDS Day falls on December 1st and in Malaysia, the event was held for 2 days in Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur. The 2 days event in partnership with The Medical Students Society of University Malaya, PT Foundation Sdn Bhd, Reckitt Benkiser (M) Sdn Bhd and MAC’s other 49 partner organizations themed “RED Ribbon Youth Club celebrate World AIDS Day” highlighted HIV/AIDS awareness, fighting prejudice, improving education and also fundraising activities. Among the activities were :

1.  RED Ribbon Youth Club launch. MAC’s latest addition to the growing list of RED Ribbon Celebrity Supporter – Aaron Aziz. (Yes, I get to see him close up and live!)

2. The assembly of a huge Red Ribbon Sculpture.

3. DurexRise-Up Play SAFE Project”, the World's First Social-Powered Balloon. (Yes, the one with Harith Iskander riding on it)

4. Free ‘HUGS’. The Medical Students Society of University Malaya.

5. Flash Mob
6. Drama / monologue
7. Fashion Show Performance
8. Hitz.FM entertainment
9. RED Ribbon Celebrity Supporter guest appearance
10. Stage performances by the marginalized community
11. Awareness & Exhibition booth

Yes yes…. Not only Aaron Aziz was there, there were other Red Ribbon Celebrity Supporters as well such as Bob AF2, Winnie K and Dayang Nurfaizah, Fahrin Ahmad, Anantha, Uthaya, Datin Seri Umie Aida, Owen Yap and many more.

Eradicate AIDS Stigma

:(

Remembered talking to Fie on how powerful this message is.

Be the message. Enough said.

 Proud UM students!

I guess for me, the highlight for this event was to participate in this event itself, it was truly an overwhelming and an certainly eye-opening experience. So many questions were asked just proofed how little knowledge I have and how judgmental I was (well, not anymore). Now now…. I can’t lie the fact that I was a little (Ok! A lot!!! [Eye-rolling]) bit excited seeing Aaron Aziz live (breathing same air tuh) but not as excited as the girl standing next to him all launch long *wink*.

 The event starts.

The moment Harith Iskander being lifted up on World's First Social-Powered Balloon.

Yup! Aaron Aziz officiate the ride.

The event was followed by a press conference at Starbucks. For more info, please read here.

I am and do look forward to participate on more activities such as this. InsyaAllah. I guess I just like the post feel-good feeling (and pre too).
