Travel Thursday | Me and Microlight

In quaint Chiang Mai
One sips his chai
While I fly high
In the sky

With it’s might
This little flight
Wings of kite
Oh! What a sight
Riding this microlight

My entry on microlight ride HERE.

Hong Kong : A British Empire Colony

Hong Kong was the last significant colony to leave the British Empire. To date; Hong Kong has drawn many investors and tourist alike. Aside from being the hub of many multinational companies, Hong Kong also offers good shopping options, international standard theme parks and cross culture attractions. Not only that, it provides convenient access to neighbouring countries such as Macau and China thus feeding business & holiday travelers reason to choose Hong Kong as their next holiday destination. The practice of bilingual signage on their roads and maps makes it painless for you to travel on your own. Thus; you can simply reserve your Hong Kong flights with Dial A Flight and start your East meets West holiday.

Hong Kong was a group of fishing villages, one of the famous and biggest being Aberdeen; a floating village and where most floating seafood restaurants are located. Back in Ming Dynasty, Hong Kong was the original name for Aberdeen village. However in 19th century; foreigners mistakenly thought Hong Kong was the name for the whole island. By then, the name Hong Kong was widely use to refer to the whole island. Thus, Aberdeen fishing village was later named after the British Secretary of State for War and the Colonies, George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen.

The Peak Tower Sky Terrace

View of Hong Kong from The Peak

If you want to experience a diverse culture of East Meets West then this is the right place to be. Starting with The Peak where you can view the whole Victoria Harbour and Kowloon from the The Peak Tower Sky Terrace. A unique way of visiting The Peak is either taking the double deck public bus or the funicular Peak Tram pulled by steel cables; leftover from British occupation. The view is said to be one of the most recognizable in the world.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong

The Peak is also home to the latest British wonder - Madame Tussauds; located in the The Peak Tower Sky Terrace, where you can catch a glimpse of your favourite past & present actors.

Disneyland Hong Kong

Two main attractions for childrens would be the Ocean Park and Disneyland Hong Kong. The earlier is consist of a marine mammal park, oceanarium, animal theme park and amusement park. Two unique “rides” here would be the 1.5km cable car ride where you will be going around or up the mountains and sea. Second would be the world's second longest funicular outdoor escalator. Those who have fear of heights, this two would be a no-no.

Kowloon Mosque

For Muslim travelers, have no fear as there is a big Kowloon Mosque situated on Nathan Road in the centre of Kownloon itself. Muslims can get Halal (Muslim) food easily as there are an estimation of 250,000 Muslim population here.

An evening stroll at Kowloon harbour front to watch the splendid sun set and it’s beautiful night view makes a perfect day in Hong Kong.

Hotel Review | Conrad Bali, Indonesia

~ This is not a paid advertorial, review is base purely on blogger's view/experience ~

Balinese wedding in Bali, everyone's dream! And my wedding in Bali....

NOT!!!

I bump into this wedding held in the hotel where I stayed - Conrad Bali in Teluk Benoa in Bali, Indonesia. Never been in such a big landed/low-rise hotel in my life before; with exception in Phuket where I stayed in Banyan Tree. You should check it out, it's really impressive!

Conrad Bali is a beautiful hotel to have a wedding of cause, aside from the fact that it is super huge and have a small lovely chapel. But, for Muslims; my suggestion is to have either a beach or garden wedding instead (tak kan kat chapel kot kan), the scenery and view is splendid! Kid you not (psst.... priceytoo!)

I was here for a few days and the suite where I stayed is "king kong" in size, it's like my house ie hall plus dining plus dry kitchen. Basically you can play hide and sick or police and thief or any game for that matter (just to give you an idea on how big the room is laarrr). This is by far the biggest suite I have ever stayed in my life, even Mirage Hotel Las Vegas's suite was smaller then this (masih terkejut badak lagih thinking about it).

I shall share the Conrad Bali room size base on my experience (this is not a paid advertorial, review is base purely on my view/experience).

Twin sharing suite, yeah queen size just like the America's hotel.

Each room gets a souvenir :)

Bathroom with walk-in cabinet, John/Danny probably would love this. Hahhaha...

The bathroom is as big as my room back home. And it comes with flat screen TV at the bathtub.

Love thee bag!

Tah dahhh......!!!! The living room! Huge huh! By the way, the TV can be twirled to the bedroom.

This is the dining area, you can see I was doing my work messily here! Hahhahah....

I love the option given as well as the quantity....Peppermint! My favorite!

Kid you not, I mean seriously! There's a coffee machine in the room.

They can't be giving a coffee machine without giving the coffee beans, right?

Let's take a look outside, you guys must be wondering, how huge can huge be, right? I might have exaggerated abit, but still... nonetheless....

I love taking a stroll every morning for breakfast here.... rasa cam rich and famous gitus...

One of the pool, note... the word "ONE" here!

This is how near it is to the beach.

Here's how the beach looks like close up.... not bad huh. Serene and quiet!

One of the coffee house but not the breakfast area though.

This is the place where they teach the guest yoga in the morning.

Jogging path.... which I did not manage to do lar...

The other pool which is in front of my room.... this area is quieter as this is meant more for the suite guest.

The more public pool area at sunrise.

Path to beach.

Quintessential.

Perfect for wedding, perfect for honeymooon!

Lagi Lagi Tumasik (A Candylicious Trip)

Well, this is not my first trip to Singapore, unfortunately due to work, I visits Singapore yearly (plus personal trip). Been doing that since I was a kid as my dad travels KL-Singapore frequent back in those days.

Singapore since then has changed. It was a long gap between my tweenager life till I REVISITED Singapore, almost 10 years or so. Singapore moderanisation overtook Malaysia by few years I must say. Anyways..... back to my trip...

Been outside of USS (Universal Studio Singapore) a couple of times, and inside USS twice todate, goodness knows why ler kan. This shop caught my eyes few times so I figure I shall take a pic and blog an entry about it.

Candies are everywhere... I am more fascinated with the colours then the candy itself actually. Hahhahah.... it's such a cheerful decor and colours. Cam leh happy sentiasa selamanye kat sini!

Should I buy or should I not? Hemmm....

MORE choices???? NO!!!!!!!!!

Jeng jeng jeng...... Another one, this shop is located outside the entrance of Universal Studio Singapore (USS) as well.

Didn't get any here, as it was wayyyy to confusing to choose.... I hate options as you can see!

The car can't be eaten okay! Do take note on this! Mana ler tau kot kot orang ingat since nih kedai cekelat, semua leh ngap!

Ambek ko, teddy bear Hershey's tak HINGAT dunia.

THE SMELL!!!! YA Allah, sedap and harum nye, I practically FLOAT into this shop! Can you get high on popcorn smell.... I mean... seriously! HEAVEN!!!

They have few flavours, I can't remember them all.... I know they have cheese and caramel etc etc...

If cameras can capture smell, you would know I am NOT LYING!

I bump into this flea market near Bugis Street (my fav) and just have to stop and check it out. A stall caught my attention.... any girls attention I bet. Hehheh.... Ended up buying one, the stone necklace, what so cool is that the stone will change colour when it is out in the sun. COOL HUH!

I thought I just have to own it!

Why lar I didn't get the charm bracelet ..... sigh... Chomeiii

At the end, I bought one as earlier mentioned, but now kinda regretted not buying even more. She told us that her goods are either hand-made or hand-picked from Japan. Hence, the quality supposedly better lar.... and I kinda like the design as well, not the normal ones like those I saw in blogs.

Choices choices choices.... argh.... fening!

Tah dahh.... the owner.... she gave me her blog name but I successfully lost the paper.... doink ler you Lily!

PS : Raya nanti I blog pasal Raya lak...okies.
