Let's do this!

3 SYARAT UTAMA YANG WAJIB ADA!

1. Setiap gambar MESTI ada Blogger.
2. Setiap gambar MESTI pegang/letak/lekat kertas A4 bertulis "#TRAVELHOLICAWESOME PHOTO CHALLENGE BALIK RAYA 2015".
3. Setiap gambar MESTI kena pakai baju raya. (Tak kisah baju melayu/baju kurung/kebaya/jubah/apa-apa yang motif raya la)

Note : Kalau takde salah satu syarat diatas ni, masih boleh teruskan, tapi tolak markah je la kihkih!

10 CHALLENGES YANG PERLU DIBUAT!

1. Blogger menimbang berat. Mesti nampak muka, lepas tu kaki atas penimbang dan tunjuk berat badan korang. Di sebelah penimbang tersebut ada sampul duit raya (Jangan malu, bukan berat yg menjadi ukuran hahahaa).
2. Blogger berdiri di tengah-tengah pasar ramadhan / pasar malam / pasar terbuka, berkain pelikat sambil pegang buluh lemang dan kaki kene angkat tinggi sebelah (Tak kira laki ke perempuan, tetap kena pakai kain pelikat ye).
3. Blogger melakukan aktiviti-aktiviti yang paling gila yang pernah blogger buat masa puasa / raya (Lagi pelik, lagi unik, lagi mencabar, lagi gile, lagi bagus. Risiko tanggung sendri tau hehe).
4. Blogger bergambar secara kreatif dengan kuih-kuih yang dibentuk menjadi perkataan “#TA RAYA”. Mesti kena guna minimum 7 jenis kuih yang berwarna-warni serta bercorak-corak (Lagi kreatif, lagi bagus).
5. Blogger bergambar dengan orang yg ambik zakat fitrah kat kaunter (amil), sambil hulurkan biskut raya (tak kira sekeping atau sebalang) sebagai tanda terima kasih (Siapa amil tu tak kisah. Kalau orang lain yang tgh bayar zakat pun takpe). 
6. Blogger bermain bunga api dengan penjual bunga api (Siapa penjual bunga api tu, tak kisah). 
7. Blogger bergambar di petrol station sambil memegang 10 jenis sampul duit raya yg berlainan design. Mesti kena pegang sampul 5 kanan 5 kiri sambil gaya mengipas (Walau mengipas, sampul kena nampak ye. Lagi kelakar, lagi bagus).
8. Blogger pegang kalendar 2015 yg tunjuk tarikh hari raya 1 Syawal, kat depan rumah tol / RNR (Kalau dadap bergambar dgn pekerja tol yg buat muka menangis lagi bagus). 
9. Blogger susun kasut raya kat rumah orang yg korang pegi beraya, secara bertingkat (Lagi tinggi, lagi macam-macam bentuk kasut, lagi bagus). 
10. Blogger bersalaman dengan orang yang paling tua masa raya / buka posa. Orang tua tu kena pegang kertas tulis photo challenge tu dan diselit pula sampul duit raya (Sapa orang tua tu tak kisah. Lagi tua, lagi bagus. Hahaha!).

• Ingat! 10 challenges diatas, mesti kena ada 3 syarat utama tu dalam setiap gambar. Jangan lupa tau! If tanak lupa, sila PRINT post ni sebelum balik raya :D
• Tarikh tutup ialah Ahad (26 July 2015). Blogger kena publish post kat blog pada Isnin (27 July 2015). Jangan lewat tau!
• Post kat blog mesti bertajuk “PHOTO CHALLENGE BALIK RAYA 2015 – Nama korang”. Patu letak 10 challenges berserta gambar bukti, ikut sususan. (Copy paste je kat atas tu.)
• Dah post, sila tinggalkan link post korang tu kat ruangan comment bawah ni. Senang kitorang nak view nanti. Kat sini je tau! Jangan comment tempat lain plak hehe.

I have a numbers of entries which I did not publish to avoid answer copying but I have to admit, you guys are one enthusiastic participants (boleh lah I buat lagi contest-contest macam ni). As per all the shouting and 'canang-ing' I did since last week over a few group pages, here is the much awaited Polaroid Sunglasses contest. Berdebar-debar gak yea buat contest, mana nak pikir question, answer, link, gambo, T&C dan serba-serbinya lagi. uishhh...... But at the end, I managed to complete it. Kota Kinabalu Day Trip [Adidas Contest]

Day trip to Kota Kinabalu.
Yeah, I sometimes do the craziest thing.
Oh yeah, running an Adidas contest too *wink*

Took the first flight out to Kota Kinabalu or KK as known to the locals (yawned over and over again for the 2.5hrs flight), my main objective was to shop at Adidas Neo outlet in 1Borneo (never been here before), meet with Sabah famous travel blogger Diana Teo of Travel & Living Journal of DT (she hosted me the whole day, sweet huh) and to visit the Sabah Museum; Heritage Village specifically.

Travel tips : There's a shuttle to town, convenient for travelers

First thing first - makan. Diana took me to the famous Fook Yuen for a hearty breakfast, I think she ordered everything on the shelf, hahhahahhaaa...

Me? I ordered ba chang (the one with a wrap), I always wanted to try this for years and it is so heard to get a halal one, finally I managed to try one - in Sabah (jauh giler nak try), then obviously I order dimsum and Madras Tea. Madras tea sedap giler, tak manis, you guys must try ok.

Ba chang is basically glutinous rice or sticky rice stuffed with either meat, nuts, mushroom, shrimp or salted egg yolk and wrapped in bamboo. Then they will boil or steam me just like the Malay ketupat.

The roti kahwin is delicious, I think I ate 2 sets (lapar pun sama).

Later we head to 1Borneo, it is further from town and you will pass by a beautiful coastal area with jogging track and a floating state mosque.

I head to Adidas Neo outlet to grab some attire for my upcoming trips (trips = plural tau).

'Hello Hai!' They greeted me.

The outlet consist of 2 section; male and female with sufficient manpower to service its customer. Since I arrived at 11ish, 2 kind ladies entertained me through out. Have you watched Pretty Woman when Julia Roberts goes shopping at Rodeo Drive? Yes, that's is how I felt. Best giler ok. They even ask me to try and they will take my picture for me - OOTD lah sangat. Hahhahahhaaa..... but no! I want to do something better, I will take the outfit pic during my trip. Travel in style, that's what I always say *smile*.

Traveltips 1 : If you visit the store early part of the day, you get the store all to yourself.
Traveltips 2 : The 1Borneo Mall is huge, Adidas Neo is located on the ground floor near the main entrance. Easy to find.

Currently they are also running a promo.

What makes me want to check out Adidas Neo you might wonder.

• The price is reasonable - their shoe price range is between RM100-300 only. With RM100-RM200, you can already get a fashionable shoes. The shirts are affordable too in fact.
• Colours and style - as the target range is the younger crowd, you won't get those boring and dull colours. I loike!
• Trendy and funky - need I say more? *wink*.

This was one of the reason for me to come, yup, I got the black top on the right, girlie and yet cool. Apparently it comes with floral pants or legging as well (mereka yang kurus tuh, sila beli ok... girlie + funky)

Man shirts are not bad either, they have all sorts of colours.

There you go, my purchase. I got a few really really funky ones, but I will only share during my trip next month to ..... (secret)

Ubudiah Mosque in Kuala Kangsar | Perak, Malaysia

 

I have never been to Kuala Kangsar before this and the fact that my travelholic friends said that we are going to do a pit stop there surprises me. Thinking to myself; what in the world can there be 'there' but MasZuber kept saying we will visit Ubudiah Mosque. After visiting mosques around the continent, I was prepared to 'not-be-impress' by it. But I was wrong, very very wrong! The moment our car entered the The Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar, I was in awe... speechless. Ubudiah Mosque took my breath away. The white polish wall, the sun shining on it's golden dome, the clear blue sky to complements it and the late afternoon breeze... It's picture perfect.

Boxer shorts in Stockholm | Sweden

The early December weather was super cold the day I arrived in Stockholm, my friend Elaine decided to take me shopping in case I needed an extra piece of winter wear. There I was, innocently following her to a mall near her house, as we entered the undergarment section I burst out laughing. The boxer shorts for cold bitter winter cost Kr390 (That's RM150), very strange for a Malaysian whom only experience summer all year round.

It has been my dream to visit Santorini, known for it's famous calderas and blue domes. After years of planning, we finally book a flight last year to Greece and visited the famous Greek Island. As prepared as I was, I never anticipated that the actual view will be more breathtaking and amazing than all the pictures and movies combined. I kept shouting "this is it!, this is it!". My friend said this "even if you are bad at taking pictures, a view like this; your pictures will turn out perfect even it was taken with eyes closed!". Till to date, we still want to revisit Santorini.

Dream? Yes!

Where I sat in my car comfortably with aircon blasting it's way in the early winter chill, the locals living their daily live by their affordable means. It's not about their comfort nor safety, it's about ensure the family have enough food on the table, roof over their head, clothes to wear and books for education. From Wellins Calcott, If you see any thing in yourself which may make you proud, look a little further, and you will find enough to make you humble.

Let's count our blessing.

Break fasting feast in Ramadan | Marrakesh, Morocco

The day we arrived Marrakesh, our taxi driver that took us to Riad asked whether we are Muslim and are we fasting as it was during the month of Ramadan. We said yes, and he happily invited us to break fast with his family and him. As much as we were worried of our safety, we decided to tawakal and leave it in god's hand. We accepted his kind offer. At home his wife prepared a sumptuous authentic Ramadan meal, nothing was spared. This was the best hospitality I have ever received in my whole traveling experience as well as the best meal we had in Morocco.

A moment back in time I would say if anyone were to ask me on Kyoto. Till to date I am still amazed on how the Japanese preserves their culture while living in the ever changing modernization demand. Despite that they have reinvented themselves and move lightning speed ahead; loyalty to its heritage, culture and tradition is still key in their beliefs. Make one ponder, how they instill this in their younger generation.

Saw this little girl waiting for her mom outside Ta Prohm Temple, lonely and hungry yet waiting patiently for her mom to call it a day. I manage to locate her tired mom trying to sell some souvenirs and  trinkets to tourist like me; to make an honest living. I was in dilemma whether to buy or not to buy; as buying will draw attention to myself which means I will be flocked by peddlers. Not helping would mean that I will always wonder whether this little girl would have a decent meal that day. Today, I am still wondering...

I wanted to do this entry last night but I came down with a bad migraine at EOB, still do now. But I know some are sooooooo very the excited on this (Some to sikit jek pun).... So, I decided to blog this morning, half way getting ready to sleep work, half way having migraine (Cam na nak drive nih).

Obviously the WINNER is Blue Ewoke and second place is.... no second place daaaaa.... Hheheheh...

By the way, there's only one such model (that look like mini DSLR that is) under HP brand in black.... not that hard, the hard part is to first guess the brand. Since this is the first few digital camera I have... it's kinda easy, after all; the first camera is of the same brand. 

Yes, HP still sells digital camera (I believe), but more in the US/EMEA and probably AU as well. In AP region? Canon, Sony, Olympus etc etc dominates the market I suppose. Melalut as usual....

The prize is.... nanti I bagi (sikret). MUAHHAHAH..... travel bila si pemenang yek?

My Camera Collection, Guess What Brand/Model?

This is an interval before my next blog entry on my previous travel - Pekan Baru... or Perth? Hemm... Anyway, I will decide later.

Not sure whether I have told or wrote before, I do own the cheapest/lowest end Lomo, YUP! I have a Lomo, similar to my sister's. I only use 2-3 times so far... kinda a failure huh! Owning one but not using - SUCKER for gadget!

Very orthodox in terms of operation. I kinda sucks at it.... Sigh....

My first digital camera HP PHOTOSMART R607, check out the brand.... surprised? You will be even more surprise on the model available. I use this in India... how good was it? Check out my India trip pics in FB or blog. Seriously, not bad!

Then I thought I need a change ie to a better one, time to upgrade I say. Bought this slim CANON IXUS i7, easy to slip into pocket or handbag. I chose a colour that is rare (like moi)... GOLD. Always the centre of conversation every time I took it out, but I gave this to bro. Used this in Jogja among others, not that good for night pics though. HP camera was better for night mode in fact, impressed neh!

NOPE! Must get another one...CANON IXUS 870iS, this stayed with me for awhile, brought it to a lot of countries; ie New Zealand, Spain, Morroco etc etc. Delivered it's best, no regrets definitely. Then it started to smell of burn everytime I uses the flash.... Time to get meself a new one. Wear & tear took place, searched for new camera begins, yet still sticking to Canon.

My current camera.... CANON S95.... Never been happier. Have all the functions I want. But greed got into the way, now eyeing on CANON S100, having said that; thinking of improving my skill with DSLR. Yuna's camera is in my top list - CANON 1100D... first excuse - COLOUR! Hahhahaha....

These are my whole collection that are still in my possession... kinda... as I gave one to my bro...
